Bernice is in complete shock with the news of her miscarriage. Ashley tries to keep a brave face on for the sake of his wife, but there's only little time he can keep up the act. She wants to keep a low-profile, but when the news is broken too everyone, her family rally around her. Tricia confides in Terry about being the unpopular source of the village. He reassures her that she's loved. However, when she makes the mistake of bringing Bernice flowers without knowing of her miscarriage, receiving a scolding from Rodney and being neglected from Marlon for the second time, Tricia walks out on her nearest and dearest. Bob tries to flog a cupid table to Carol through Terry, with the thinking mind of helping Viv, despite her and Carol's brooding conflict. Chris cancels a night with Charity once again and she's bored of playing second best with his business. She decides to spend the night entertaining Scott in Chez Marlon, despite Chris later changing his mind.
