Diane confronts Val over Paul’s revelations that as a child he was beaten by Jimmy Pepper. Val claims she did the best she could and bursts into tears. Jimmy later arrives in the village and, when he finds Val, pins her against the wall and demands to have the money back for the wedding he paid for that she lead him to believe was for Paul. Elsewhere, Donna confronts Kelly and asks why she isn’t happier for her and Marlon. Kelly promises she’ll make the effort but can’t help but point out that Donna doesn’t have an engagement ring. Taking Kelly's words to heart she confronts Marlon who worries that she's expecting too much.
