The police discover that Adam had been practicing medicine under his late father's name and question Steph but it is clear that she didn't know about Adam's past. Later that day, the police tell Alan that they believe Terence was blackmailing Adam and that this still leaves Steph and Adam with a motive for his murder. Meanwhile, Danny tries to convince Len to find Pearl but Len just utters that it is better if she stays away as there will just be a lynch mob waiting for her. Danny suggests they could pay off Pearl's debts to her friends.
