Paul goes on a second blind date that's just as disastrous as the first. On his way home he stumbles across an altercation in the park and hears some youths attacking a man and hurling homophobic insults. Paul rushes over and is shocked to discover that the victim is Grayson. Meanwhile, Donna is still angry with Marlon for taking the lone decision to give up the children. Jean encourages her not to be so hard on Marlon as he had her best interests at heart. Elsewhere, Jack arranges a family outing to Hotten. Later that day, he turns up to the Woolpack where Diane’s forgotten about the arrangement and is wildly engaged with decorating the pub. Stone cold sober, but bubbling over with excitement and energy Jack is mystified by her erratic behaviour.
