The Flynns hold an anniversary party for Caroline's parents, Pat and Alan. Liam's patience and party skills are tested to the max, especially when the tactless Pat upsets Chloe by revealing some truths about her conception. It is down to Liam and Caroline to smooth things over and tell Chloe the whole story of how they got together all those years ago. Kevin, meanwhile, has an awkward reunion with a girl he last met at a funeral.
