Jamie (Angus Grant) is dismayed when a very depressed Wendy Rossi (Daniela Farinacci), back in town for her Medical Board hearing, rejects his help. Ella (Kerry Armstrong) confronts the big problem of a country GP practising as an obstetrician without the proper training. A mother and then a baby have died in childbirth.
