Episode 139

After Bayezid’s death, Süleyman sinks into darkness as his illness worsens, while Selim drowns his guilt in drink and Nurbanu eliminates every threat to her son. Defne dies protecting her child, Mihrimah strikes back at Nurbanu, and Gülfem’s attempt on Süleyman’s life ends in a grim secret. As the dynasty fractures, Selim becomes the sole heir, and Mihrimah cuts all ties with him. Hearing the people’s whispers, the weakened Süleyman defiantly sets out on one last campaign, where the great conqueror finally succumbs to illness—bringing an era to its end.
