A chiropractor's wife is found murdered and Simone and Sipowicz discover that the chiropractor, Dr. Peter Shennon, was having an affair with his secretary, Judith Krasky, which turns all suspicions towards him. Meanwhile, while working for a security company, Martinez falls for Leticia Beltran, a college student he's assigned to protect.
