Steven asks Betty to spy for him at the Peyton mansion, convincing her to try and get information which could help him at the defending of Lee. Connie feels that her son Matthew is a replacement for Allison. Steven doesn't allow Lee to go on stand during the trial. Peyton asks Betty to forbid Steven from defending Lee, but she refuses to.
