Rachel has lost her mind and thinks she is Allison. Michael explains she is doing this because she knows Rachel isn't worthy of the Carsons' love, unlike Allison. It is revealed that Rachel accidentally killed her aunt and kept her interference with Allison, who witnessed this, a secret because she knew she had to admit to the killing if she revealed she saw Allison. Rodney sees Rachel one more time and Rita is upset that her friend has to leave. Michael decides to send Rachel to a clinic in Boston and shortly before leaving, she bids farewell to Connie, whom she calls her mother, and Elliot, whom she finally gives Allison's bracelet.
