Baron de Wogan, Spahis officer, battalion chief of the Garde Mobile, an intrepid explorer, travelled extensively in 1848. In North America, he fought Indians and grizzly bears, killed coyotes with one shot and strangled rattlesnakes. The Great Chief of the Timpabaches condemned him to death.
