Meanwhile, in Gwalior, Lord Dalhousie warns Gangadhar to solve the problem involving Samar Singh, else Jhansi would be annexed, but Gangadhar assures him that all problems would be tackled. Bhagirathi appears again before Laxmibai and tells her that she is pregnant. Laxmibai is delighted. Bhagirathi advises her to abide by her duties as a wife and a queen because she has great responsibilities now. In the midst of the meeting, Gangadhar gets a letter informing him that Laxmibai is pregnant. Gangadhar proudly announces to Dalhousie that Jhansi will soon have an heir. Dalhousie is dismayed. Back in Jhansi, it is announced that Samar Singh and Karma would be killed in a cannon blast the next afternoon.
