Gangadhar interrupts Laxmi Bai's questions and tells Ellis to expedite the formalities concerning the legal adoption of Anand Rao. Gangadhar and Laxmi Bai perform the `puja' for Anand Rao's adoption. Ellis signs the legal document and, while countersigning, Gangadhar's strength wanes and his condition is out in the open.
