Pepito comes from a poor family and his only source of income is water fetching in Caniogan. He is always with his bestfriend Patricio wherever they go in the fields, to Aling Tasing's and even on the roof of Elma's house. On the day they start school, Pits and Patrick meet the Cebuano student Elsa.
