Carlos suspects that the problems at home, especially between his parents, are due to his father seeing another woman, leaving Manuel dismayed by the accusation. Ramiro reappears at Carolina's house to "support" his son after she refused to allow them to continue their relationship. This leaves Carolina furious at the lack of support she receives from her family. Manuel is dismayed by Carolina's irritation, who doesn't want Romina to continue her relationship with Omar. Carolina emphasizes that she doesn't want Ramiro to return home, but without offering any justification for her anger. Ramiro persists in his threats against Carolina to obtain part of the fortune she has built, threatening not only to reveal her secrets but also to implicate her daughter, Romina.
