What did my father really do - and who was he? It is no coincidence that Nikolaj's great adventure begins in the northernmost part of Greenland. It was here, at the American military base in Thule, that Nikolaj's father worked in the 1980s. And it was his stories about polar bears, polar nights, the Cold War and ballistic missiles that really set the imagination and daydreams in motion for the young boy at home in the village of Tybjerg on Zealand
