During World War II, an Army doctor runs a strained psychiatric ward at a hospital in Arizona, with only weeks to try to help patients recover enough to return to their units. Under-resourced and challenged by the military’s attitudes toward mental health, he improvises alongside a dedicated team as multiple cases come through the ward.
