A young boy is chosen to become the spiritual leader of Tibet and grows up surrounded by ritual, learning, and responsibility. As political pressure mounts and an outside power tightens control, he must navigate faith, leadership, and the safety of his people, ultimately facing a difficult decision about leaving home.
