In post-war Britain, a former soldier living under an alias is forced to flee again after a chance encounter and a desperate attempt to raise money. When a pawn-shop robbery turns deadly, he’s wrongly linked to the crime and must stay one step ahead of the police, aided by a compassionate widow while he searches for the real culprits.
