In the late 1800s, a scientific expedition forcibly takes two Indigenous people from Central Africa to Europe to support a controversial theory about human origins. As they are displayed and studied, one researcher begins to question the cruelty around him, confronting the era’s racism, ambition, and moral blind spots.
