After a cavalry group is massacred by the Cheyenne, only two survivors remain: a naive soldier devoted to duty and a young woman who has lived with the Cheyenne and feels pulled toward them. They set out to reach their base camp together, but their journey forces conflicting loyalties—and painful realizations.
