A World War I British Army patrol crossing the Mesopotamian desert loses its way after its officer is killed by unseen bandits. With only their sergeant’s stubborn direction to guide them, the men shelter at an oasis, only to wake to stolen horses, a dead sentry, and a growing fight for survival as the danger tightens around them.
