No one is safe in The Toxic Avenger; not children, animals, or old ladies. It’s an exploitation movie in quite poor taste, with enough comedy, absurdity and surprises that it’s hard not to be charmed by it’s punk rock spirit and effectiveness of the special effects for what had to be a budget of pennies. Toxie’s voice is one of the best running jokes in the movies, but the ADR so jarringly bad it’s hard not to wonder whether this was a decision or idea that was made in the editing room. 🧹🧹🧹 / 🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹.
