In 1943 Tunisia, a Foreign Legion battalion escorts a fortune in gold bars to the home front, but a German ambush leaves only a few survivors. With shifting alliances and competing motives, the remaining group pushes onward as the gold travels south—leaving its ultimate holder in question.
