During World War II on a Pacific island split between Allied and Japanese control, a small mixed unit is sent into enemy territory to sabotage a key radio installation. The mission quickly unravels, forcing a group of reluctant, quarrelsome soldiers to push through the jungle under relentless pursuit and mounting pressure to make it back alive.
