In Soviet Russia, a down-on-his-luck former aristocrat learns that family diamonds were hidden inside one of a set of twelve chairs. Teaming up with a clever young con artist, he sets off on a sprawling, often chaotic hunt as the chairs scatter and the stakes keep rising.
