In the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia, living legend Jesco White—known as the dancing outlaw—draws on a wild past that includes time in reform school and an insane asylum. After his father’s death, he slips into his father’s tap shoes and hits the road with a frenzied mountain-dancing style to wild country banjo music.
