Herb’s life is unraveling—lost welfare, failed jobs, strained family ties, and a bleak routine of cheap beer and mushy peas. After hearing that Danish prisoners have it better, he heads to Denmark and lands in a quaint town where he even plans a bank robbery, but new connections complicate his view of freedom and fulfillment.
