Set in Madagascar at the turn of the 1960s and into the early 1970s, the story follows a young child growing up on a French military airbase as colonial life fades and local dissatisfaction rises. Inspired by a childhood love of Fantômette, the child learns to see the world more clearly while adults around him grapple with unsettling change.
