In 1920s Moscow, shortly after the October Revolution, a stray dog is taken in by a respected surgeon who carries out a daring experiment. The dog’s transformation into a human turns a comfortable apartment upside down, as new attitudes and disruptive behavior unsettle the household and the society around it.
