A discarded silk top-hat ignites a clash between a washed-up stage magician and a group of schoolchildren after it magically brings a snowman to life. Needing colder weather to survive, the snowman and a young girl sneak away on a freight train toward the North Pole, unaware the magician is chasing them to get the hat back.
