A sci-fi-loving middle schooler dreams of mysterious technology, and his gifted friend turns the idea into a working spacecraft. Joined by another friend, the boys launch into space, where their homemade adventure leads them to encounter unusual extraterrestrial life and discover that exploration may be stranger than they imagined.
