It’s not quite Indiana Jones, but it’s a lot better than The Fountain of Youth. This movie still works over 25 years later, primarily because they shot a ton of stuff on location or in real sets with dramatic lighting and really only used CG when necessary. They also didn’t skimp on the horror elements of this; the scarab beetle skin crawling and Mr. Burns falling and breaking his glasses are two scenes that are still pretty terrifying. Perhaps most important, the charisma and chemistry between the three leads is palpable and makes for a very entertaining ride. 🪲🪲🪲.5 / 🪲🪲🪲🪲🪲.
