A strong directorial debut for Dev Patel. Monkey Man manages to make the close combat fight choreography feel fresh, and it helps it takes place in a part of the world most audiences don’t see on the screen everyday. The more dramatic side of the film, which is a mediation on revenge, feels earned and authentic. 🐵🐵🐵🐵 / 🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵.
