Gwen Lawrence turns up for a job as secretary, with Mark Saber. She changes her mind but has stolen the Dirk Ewing folder. Now going under the name of Richard Osbourne he is murdered attempting to give himself up.

Writer Tony Latham's wife Nancy is murdered and the police haven't arrested janitor Anton Turek. He wants Mark Saber to help but author Oliver Moon demands he returns to work. Latham writes the books but Moon takes the credit.

Tony Hollister contacts Saber asking him to have a rare bottle of brandy tested for poison. It was sent to him by his cousin Angela, who is desperate for cash. However the bottle was stolen again and the man who is stole it dies.

A murderous thief forces his way into an elderly woman's home and holds her captive. A suspicious neighbor calls Mark Saber to investigate.

10-year-old Peggy asks Mark Saber to help her catch a spy. Her father, Philip Carstairs works for the Government and Peggy has seen her step-mother Stephanie looking at his secret work and now plans to send her away to school.

Paper manufacturer Mr Wilson discovers his safe has been broken into but doesn't want to call the police. His secretary Miss Perry goes to Mark Saber because she saw there was at least £10,000. Safe breaker Mac discovers it's all fake.

Financier Oscar Brand sends his colleague Ferris, to France, find and eliminate black market rival Verner Sharpe. Drawing a blank they ask Mark Saber to find Sharpe under the guise of paying back a debt to an old friend.

Tony Preem and his lover Anita Rodock murder her husband John so they can be together. Preem hides the body in an ancient tomb, replacing the original one and burying it in a field, Mark Saber happens to be on hand when it's found.

Mark Saber is shocked by the apparent suicide of his friend, Peter Kenyon who was found at the bottom of a cliff. Saber is even more surprised when Kenyon's secretary Miss Barnes comes to see him, claiming he was murdered.

Mark Saber is on a fishing holiday when chamber maid Rosie Temple begs for his help. Her son Dan has been arrested for the murder of Norma Farrington. Farrington's is the town's biggest employer and she fears he won't get a fair trial.

Mac has just been released from jail and intends to retrieve the Ormby Diamonds which he hid before his arrest. Marc Saber is hoping to get the insurance on the diamonds but notices Mac no longer knows where they are.

When Tony Inglis discovers his Uncle Walter has left his money to his cousin Johnny Clark he pays a visit. The pair argue and Johnny is murdered. Tony makes it as a suicide but his fiancee Sally begs Mark Saber to find the truth.

A difficult case of blackmail appears closed to Mark Saber when a victim is found drowned in her swimming pool. The evidence points to murder.

Gangster Sheik Babson beloved Bentley gets hi-jacked by rival Dizzy Wilcox. When his associate Bang Bang Trout brings it back the car is scratched. Next day Wilcox and Babson are found murdered. Saber thinks he has the answer.

While waiting for his train to arrive, crime fan the Bishop of Tricester over hears a hit being planned and decides to follow the man. His secretary Prinn desperately rings up Mark Saber for help but arrives too late to stop the murder.

Tommy Wilson is set up by girlfriend Jean Tracy and Vince Gibbons to take the fall for the murder of Gibbons photographer brother Paul. Mark Saber is asked to help and starts to believe Wilson's not telling truth about Jean Tracy.

Mark Saber does not usually respond to threats, but when an unknown woman phones him and threatens to commit suicide unless he calls round within half an hour, he feels it is his duty to act. She takes Stevie hostage and gives Saber three hours to find her friend or she will kill Stevie.
