Sia, a young Franco-Ivorian, has just lost her father. Recently in contact with Adjoua, her half-sister, she leaves Paris for Abidjan. Their reunion is intense, but a few days later Adjoua disappears. Sia then finds herself alone with Amelan, her niece, a little girl suffering from sickle cell disease...

Sia reports her sister missing to Yao, a gruff and depressed police officer. Amelan, her niece, has a sickle cell crisis. Sia takes her to the hospital, where she meets Felix. The young doctor tells her that without a transplant from her mother, the little girl is doomed. Sia, with the help of Felix, decides to find her sister. She then meets Madame Corinne and her daughters, former "généreuses de bizi" - occasional prostitutes.

Yao, the police officer who recorded Adjoua's disappearance, takes a liking to Sia. He discovers that his half-sister wanted to leave the country with false papers. Maybe she was running away from something... or someone?

Amelan's health is deteriorating. Sia must find her sister as soon as possible and seduces Jack, Papa John's partner. She wakes up the next day with no memory of the evening, but on her body, there is a trace of it... With Yao's help, Sia discovers an important clue about Adjoua's disappearance.
